    The brief

    The newly built public school had exceptionally high running costs, which strained the municipal budget, while staff and pupils complained about thermal comfort and ventilation.

    What we did

    Our audit team inspected the school on site, checking the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, the building fabric and the energy data. We documented every issue with photographs, wrote a set of fixes and quick wins, and helped the contractors put them in place.

    The outcome

    Monthly energy and heating bills fell by almost 80%, with no new capital spent. The municipality now has full documentation of the building and a clear plan for future energy investment.
