The brief
Sigmund Freud University's main Vienna site is Campus Prater, in the city's 2nd district. Before planning a retrofit, the university needed an independent view of the building services it already had: what condition they were in, what they cost to run and what could stay.
What we did
Our engineers carried out an on-site technical due diligence of the heating, ventilation and energy systems. We inspected the plant rooms and distribution, reviewed the documentation and operating records, and compared what we found with how the building is used today.
The outcome
The university received a clear picture of the condition of each system, the risks to deal with first and the retrofit options worth pursuing, so the investment can be planned on facts rather than estimates.
