We optimized the functioning of the heating pump installation and implemented a dedicated energy & gas guardian system. Our analysis resulted in a new investment into a 200 kWh energy storage unit, which radically reduced grid dependency.
The Challenge
Although the building had a functioning PV installation, its generation capacity was mismatched with the facility's operational schedule and energy needs. In addition, the implemented hybrid heating solution was inefficient and mismanaged.
The Solution
We deployed the Meterd System with specialized configurations for the industrial processes schedules and categorization of facility sections. Our Advisory team analyzed the building's usage patterns over 3 months, helped optimize HVAC systems and implemented a gas guardian feature to mitigate excessive usage.
The Results
After implementing our Meterd monitoring system with the Gas Guardian feature, the facility utility usage dropped by around 65%. We were able to mitigate almost all of the reactive power fees for excessive gas usage, while improving the alignment between solar power generation and energy usage patterns.
